Connections
Since 2022, we have supported hundreds of Title I elementary school students across the U.S., helping them grow their mathematical mindsets and strengthen their critical thinking skills. While our early intervention has made a meaningful impact, we are committed to continuing this support as they grow older. To do this, we aim to offer former ESSAM students the opportunity to give back by tutoring other Title I students nationwide. As part of this initiative, they will be able to shadow experienced tutors and learn how to effectively teach and lead their own classes. This is important because it empowers our former students to become leaders in their communities while continuing to grow personally and academically as they transition into their final years of middle school and enter high school. By stepping into mentorship roles, they can develop valuable communication and leadership skills, allowing them to leverage their past experiences and make a meaningful impact on a new generation of Title 1 elementary school students. As part of our first year for our Connections program, we have a total of 35 Connections students who will be shadowing our talented tutors so that they can later lead their own classes.
